Reroof or Reshingle...what are the pros and cons? And how big is the cost difference?

Tutto's answer is right on...but if you live in Florida or any other hot climate, you'll have to tear off the old shingles first. Had to have our roof done after the last hurricanes and that's what I was told by both the insurance company and the roofers that came out to give bids.
