When and how did humans develop a sense of right and wrong?

Yeah i believe your dead on in regards to how morality developed. I would say that "selflessness" isn't really selfless. If you are good to others, others are more likely to be good to you in return. So really your just helping yourself out. The bigger the sacrifice the more likely others will be to sacrifice for you.
