How much do you believe in the early college football polls?

I'm a LSU tigers fan and its pretty cool to see them listed as #2, but I really don't know if it means anything. They gave Mississippi a pretty good beating the other day, but I don't think they will be the only team to give Mississippi a beating. Really LSU's ping game was a little dissipointing but they do have a new starting quarterback and I guess he will just get better as the season progresses.
