Do you think Russia is wrong to use such threatening language in its opposition against US missile bases?

I am talking about the proposed missile defense systems for Poland and the Ukraine, does it not remind you that Kennedy was using equally strong language when the Soviets were trying place their missiles in Cuba in the early sixties, okay the intent then was pretty clear and kennedy was most certainly in the right, but I think the Russians are right also in their opposition on this occasion, the US is saying they are being deployed for defense against rogue nations, 1 US sub could flatten any tin pot nation like Iran that started to get too ugly if it wanted to, so don't you think that their excuse for these missiles is a bit lame and the real intention is more power and influence right on the doorstep of its old adversary.
